Week 2 of the Fall 2025 Mays Landing Cornhole League brought even more excitement to the boards as 19 of our 23 teams showed up to compete. The atmosphere was electric from the first toss, with players settling into the rhythm of the new season and rivalries already beginning to take shape.
Although Baggin Blondes, Hula Girls, MoneyBagz, and Tree Surgeons were absent this week, the boards were still full of action with close finishes and big scoring swings.
As the season unfolds, each night is proving just how unpredictable and competitive this fall campaign will be.
Welcome Back, Tony!
The league gained a spark of nostalgia and fresh energy with the arrival of a brand-new 23rd team, The Courne Identity.
This marks Tony’s return, and the sequel team has already become a fun talking point around the league. Starting from behind after missing Week 1 will be no easy task, but their presence adds a new storyline for the season.
Every year, returning players bring personality and energy, and with Tony back, we know this season is only going to get more entertaining.
Undefeated Teams Still Standing
After two weeks of play, only two teams remain undefeated, and both have shown why they are serious contenders for the championship.
BagStreet Boys, our reigning champions, have picked up right where they left off by handling their competition with confidence, even handing DEEZ NUTS their first loss of the season.
Alongside them, 4 Bags 1 Hole: One Last Ride has proven they are not here just for fun. They are playing sharp, focused, and determined to climb to the top.
With so few undefeated teams remaining this early in the season, every upcoming matchup will be critical, especially for these two squads, who are wearing the target.
Close Finishes Define the Night
Competition was fierce in Week 2, with three separate matches being decided by a single point. These nail-biting contests highlight just how evenly matched our league has become, where one missed bag or one clutch toss can change the entire outcome.
While some games still carried wide margins, the close battles are what fans and players love most, keeping everyone invested right up to the final throw.
It is proof that the Fall 2025 season will not be decided easily and that every toss carries weight in the standings.
Spotlight on NJ Print-Wear & Screen Print Wife
A massive thank you goes out to Jake and the team at NJ Print-Wear, along with Screen Print Wife, for going above and beyond in getting our league T-shirts printed, produced, and delivered within a week.
Their work ethic, attention to detail, and quick turnaround meant every team had their shirts ready for Week 2, creating a great sense of unity on the boards.
The quality of the shirts speaks for itself, and the league is proud to showcase their work week after week.
If anyone is looking for screen printing, we cannot recommend NJ Print-Wear and Screen Print Wife enough. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish.
Blueys, Greenies, and the Plaque
In addition to the new shirts, the Blueys and Greenies have officially arrived, marking another fun chapter in our league’s tradition.
The BagStreet Boys also received their nameplate for the championship plaque at Freddy J’s, cementing their Summer 2025 title in league history. Having that plaque displayed permanently is a reminder of the effort and consistency it takes to finish a season on top.
Each new addition to the plaque builds on the story of our community and the growing history of cornhole in Mays Landing.
Freddy J’s Specials
No league night would be complete without Freddy J’s Bar & Kitchen keeping everyone fueled and happy.
Players and fans alike enjoyed the always-popular $1 wings and $2 Yuenglings, staples of Thursday night cornhole. Freddy J’s has become the place to celebrate wins, reflect on tough losses, and share in the camaraderie that makes this league so special.
With a new fall menu launching soon, league nights will only get better for everyone on and off the boards.
