What’s up, Cornhole fans! The Summer 2023 season of the Mays Landing Cornhole League has just begun, and if Week 1 is anything to go by, we’re in for an unforgettable season! If you weren’t there to witness it, let me tell you, you missed out on some spectacular Cornhole action!
Before we dive into the recap, we want to express our immense gratitude to our incredible sponsors. Now, onto the main event! Five teams came out swinging: the Corn Bulbs, Cornholio, the Cornhall Junkies, Jsquared, and Team Landi. They’ve set the bar high with three wins each, and the rest of the teams will be gunning for them!
We were treated to some epic matchups! All In vs. Bags on Boards was a thriller, ending in a tight 21-19 win for Bags on Boards. And when Corn Bulbs faced Gonna Cream You, they took home a 22-15 victory with the crowd on their feet!
And let’s not forget about the nail-biter between Bags on Boards and Husk and a Half. Bags on Boards clinched a 21-17 win, but not before giving us one of the most suspenseful games of the week!
Our other competitors – Ace Holes, American Construction, Corn Dawgz, Corn Flakes, Corn Muffins, Husk and a Half, MD Assasins, Tossing Fools, and We So Corny – showed they’re not to be underestimated. Keep an eye on them, folks, because they’re here to shake things up!
Now, remember, this is just the beginning. The competition is fierce, the stakes are high, and every team is in it to win it. We can’t wait to see how the rest of the season unfolds!
But let’s not forget what Cornhole is about: the thrill of the game, the camaraderie amongst the players, and the sheer joy it brings to all of us. So, let’s keep cheering for our teams, showing our appreciation for our sponsors, and celebrating the spirit of Cornhole!
