Welcome back to the Mays Landing Cornhole League! We officially kicked off our Summer 2025 season this past Thursday, accompanied by great weather and fantastic energy. We’re thrilled to see returning teams and excited to welcome many new faces this season!
With 30 teams registered and 24 teams competing this week, our third summer season is already shaping up to be one of our most fun yet. While Fairview Chiropractic and Wellness, LLC, Miller Time, Tree Surgeons, Hula Girls, Flag Football Athletics, and Your Hole is my Goal were absent this week, the enthusiasm and camaraderie among the teams on site were evident from the first toss, promising a season full of exciting matchups and memorable moments.
Week 1 Highlights
After an intense first night, two teams remain undefeated: Born Fish and BagStreet Boys. These two teams have set a high bar for competition early on and have quickly established themselves as teams to watch heading into Week 2.
The standings after Week 1 are incredibly tight, especially between 3rd and 10th places. Teams in these positions are separated by just a handful of points each, with Corndoggs narrowly edging out their closest competitor, Pine Creek Structures, by just an 11-point differential. Clearly, every toss matters as we head deeper into the season.
Exciting New Teams and Rosters
This summer, we’re particularly excited about the dynamic brought by more than 10 brand-new teams joining the league. New players and roster changes consistently introduce fresh strategies and elevate the competitiveness of matches. We look forward to seeing how these teams evolve over the next few weeks.
Congratulations are in Order!
We’d like to extend a huge congratulations to Jessica and Ryan from one of our long-time teams and sponsors, Fairview Chiropractic and Wellness, LLC, who recently tied the knot! There’s plenty to celebrate both on and off the cornhole boards. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and continued success on league nights!
Season Outlook
With six more regular-season weeks remaining, followed by two playoff weeks and culminating in our Week 10 Championship, the road ahead is clear and filled with opportunities for every team. Each week promises even greater intensity and excitement, setting the stage for memorable matches.
