Week 3 is in the books, and the Fall 2024 Mays Landing Cornhole League continues to heat up!
With 35 teams showing up to compete (Glitter Bears, Husk and a Half, and Corn Muffins were absent), the energy was electric, and the competition was fierce.
As we enter Week 3, teams are hitting their stride, and skill levels are beginning to align. The top 10 includes an equal mix of new teams and returning favorites, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.
Highlights from Week 3
Corn Baggins remains the only undefeated team for the season, as American Construction and 2 Dubs took their first losses this week.
Teams that went undefeated this week include Sweetwater Slingers, Snowbirds Cornhole Club, Fairview Chiropractic and Wellness, and Landi Pools & Games. Amazing work by all of these teams!
Airmail Challenge Suspended
After two weeks without participants, we’ve decided to suspend the Airmail Challenge. We really appreciated the excitement in the past weeks and will be exploring new competition formats in the future. If you want the challenge to come back, let us know!
Team Shirts
Most teams received their league shirts this week, but for those who missed out (Glitter Bears, Husk and a Half, and Corn Muffins), we’ll have your league shirts ready for pickup next week.
Team merch is also available online, so grab your shirt, sweatshirt, long-sleeve, or hoodie!
About Those $1 Wings…
We had $1 wings back this week, but we didn’t anticipate the crowd size before and during cornhole. Unfortunately, that led to us running out faster than expected. The good news is, next week, we’re doubling the amount of wings, so everyone gets their fill! Pair them with $2 drafts and $2.50 bottles, and make sure to come hungry. We won’t let that happen again!
