Week 4 Recap – Summer 2023

Hello there, Cornhole enthusiasts! It’s time to bring you the thrilling recap from Week 4 of the Summer 2023 Mays Landing Cornhole League season. The week was packed with suspenseful matches, strategic tosses, and unforgettable finishes. If you didn’t catch the live-action, don’t worry; I’ve got all the highlights for you.

Before we dive in, here’s an important announcement: Week 5 and Week 6 will be played together as a doubleheader on Thursday, July 6th. Yes, that’s right! Double the excitement, double the fun. So mark your calendars, set your reminders, and make sure you’re ready to witness the back-to-back Cornhole action.

Let’s move on to the games! The week started with an intense match between Ace Holes and MD Assasins. Despite a valiant effort, Ace Holes were bested by the MD Assasins with a scoreline of 26-7. This was followed by a face-off between We So Corny and Bags on Boards. Bags on Boards showed dominance, sealing a victory with a 21-6 finish.

Beer Pressure went head-to-head against Corn Muffins and emerged victorious with a score of 21-3. Meanwhile, Tossing Fools had a tough game against Cornholio, which ended in a 26-14 win for Cornholio. Corn Dawgz and Jsquared clashed in a high-scoring match that saw Jsquared walk away with a 24-7 victory.

Team Landi continued their winning streak, dominating with a 3-0 record. Similarly, Dat Couple and Jsquared both showed strong performances, maintaining their undefeated status with three wins. Cornholio also continued their winning spree, finishing the week with a perfect record.

4 Bags 1 Hole and American Construction had a challenging week, each securing a single win. We’re confident they’ll bounce back stronger in the coming weeks!

However, it wasn’t a great week for every team. Ace Holes, Corn Dawgz, and Corn Flakes all struggled to secure a win, ending the week with a 0-3 record. But remember, we have a doubleheader coming up, which means double the opportunity to turn things around!

It’s also worth mentioning that Corn Bulbs, Cornhall Junkies, Loveshack, Gonna Cream You, and Title Tossin Twosome did not play this week. We look forward to seeing these teams in action in the upcoming doubleheader.

Finally, Husk and a Half faced a tough week, but we’re sure they’ll turn things around in the coming games.
