As the Mays Landing Cornhole League wrapped up its final week of the regular season, the atmosphere was electric, with teams putting everything on the line to secure favorable playoff positions.

The conclusion of the regular season in Weeks 6.5 and 7 not only marked a pivotal moment in the Spring 2024 league but also set the stage for the playoffs and championship. The unique six-game schedule allowed teams to fine-tune their strategies and skills, preparing for the intense competition.

As the playoffs loom, the community’s excitement is palpable. Everyone is looking forward to the culmination of a season of remarkable performances and unpredictable weather, ranging from chilly evenings requiring gas heaters to delightful game nights in shorts and t-shirts.

Performance Highlights

Congratulations to Slidin’ Dirty for earning the 22nd seed and a spot in Bracket A. They showcased their resilience and strategic gameplay throughout the season.

Special accolades to Crackle & Pop, who impressed everyone by finishing the regular season undefeated, setting a high benchmark for excellence in the league.

Post-Season Focus

The focus now shifts to the playoff weeks, where teams will battle for the top six spots in their brackets, crucial for securing a first-round bye in the championship’s double-elimination format. Bracket A and B winners will face off to determine the ultimate champion of the Spring 2024 season.
