Week 7 marked the exciting conclusion of the Spring 2025 regular season, and what a thrilling finish it was! We enjoyed perfect weather, excellent spirits, and some of the tightest competition yet. It all came down to just a few points, proving how evenly matched and competitive our teams truly are.
We saw 38 teams compete, with four absent ones: Corndoggs, Corny (again), Just Cuz, and Wrong Hole. Thankfully, their absences did not dramatically affect their playoff positions, as each of these teams was already locked into the B Bracket, though Wrong Hole and Just Cuz saw slight drops in their standings.
Bracket Breakdown and Dramatic Finish
The playoff brackets are officially set! The top 18 teams will battle in the A Bracket, with the remaining 24 teams competing in the B Bracket. The race to qualify for the A Bracket couldn’t have been closer.
Teams ranked 17th through 21st finished with identical win-loss records. Ultimately, the teams that advanced to the A Bracket were decided by just four points.
Throwdo Baggins had the most significant rank change this week by jumping up four positions. This took them from 21st place and B Bracket to 17th place and A Bracket.
Notably, Ru-Paul, who finished the season with a four-game losing streak, narrowly missed out. Here’s how close they came:
- Had they scored five more points all season, Ru-Paul would have qualified for the A Bracket.
- A single victory in their final match against Landi Pools & Games would also have secured their A Bracket spot.
Instead, Landi Pools & Games secured the final position in the A Bracket.
Adding to the drama, last fall (Fall 2024), Landi Pools & Games were the A Bracket Champions, while Broad Street Baggers took home the B Bracket title. This spring, Broad Street Baggers enter playoffs in a strong 5th place while Landi Pools & Games just made it into the A Bracket at 18th place. Only one of these teams can repeat their championship success this spring.
Undefeated Teams and Tight Standings
This week, six teams finished undefeated, highlighting the intense level of competition league-wide. The top standings finished incredibly close. First through third place were separated by just one total point, the gap between third and fourth place was two points, and fourth through sixth were separated by just one point each.
At the top, Red BarN’s Finest finished the season impressively at 27–1, scoring 645 points overall. Finishing just behind them, Mullicans and Glory Hole ended the season tied at 25–3, with Mullicans edging into second place by two total points. American Construction finished strong in fourth, while Broad Street Baggers secured fifth place.
Meanwhile, Sofrito & Sazon, who once held second place, ended the regular season at 20–8 after a 2–2 record this week, dropping them down to 13th overall.
We’re very proud that every team in the league scored at least 100 points this season, an impressive accomplishment that reflects the league’s growing skill and competitiveness.
