What a week we had! Despite the earlier rain, the evening turned out to be perfect for cornhole, and the competition was fierce. As we head into the final stretch of the season, we’ve got plenty to share with you!

Get in early and sign up for the Fall Season! It starts on August 29th and goes until October 27th. This is the last season of 2024 until Spring 2025. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be part of another exciting cornhole journey.
First Round of Playoffs: Complete!
The first round of playoffs is over. Next week is the last week of playoffs and the last week of guaranteed four games. This past week and next week are about determining your placement in your bracket for the championship tournament on Week 10.
Weather and Resilience
We got so lucky with the weather. The fact that earlier that day, it was pouring up till almost 7 was wild, but we were resilient. Between the weather and the matchups, teams were really equally matched.
Exciting Family Showdown
We revisited the family showdown of the Tree Surgeons vs. the Hula Girls. It was a close one, but the Hula Girls are ultimately cleaning the Tree Surgeons’ cars.
Championship Tournament: Week 10
This will all culminate in Week 10, where we will have our championship tournament. All teams make the championship tournament, even if they haven’t shown up since week one (Sultans of Fling). They will compete in a double elimination tournament.
The first 3 teams of each bracket will win trophies and prizes. Additionally, there is a match between the winners of both brackets to determine the ultimate winner of the season.
The first place winner of the whole league will receive a trophy as well as one from their respective bracket.
The first place winner of the whole league will receive the coveted “Bluey” sweatshirt and the first place winner of the B Bracket (unless also the whole league winner) will receive the coveted “Greenie” sweatshirt.
Championship Afterparty
There will be a championship afterparty, so bring your friends and family to watch you show up, win, and celebrate! Entertainment by USA DJ Entertainment.
Standings Update
At this moment, the first and second position is not about how many wins or total points scored, but the one point in the point differential. But that can all change next week or at the championship tournament.

Airmail Challenge
When you sign in, we will take sign-ups for the Airmail Challenge. This exciting 50/50 challenge helps the Mays Landing Food Pantry and allows participants to win a cumulative pot.
The pot is now at $248, with $124 available to win. Each throw is now worth $31 thanks to the great turnout from prior weeks.
We were disappointed that no one signed up for the Airmail Challenge this week. This challenge is about helping out the Mays Landing Food Pantry and tackling the 35-foot airmail in front of all the competitors. Let’s make sure we have a strong showing next week!
Tickets are $5 for 1 ticket, $10 for 3 tickets, and $20 for 7 tickets.
Each week, two winners are chosen. The first person chosen decides whether to shoot first or second.
Participants throw a bean bag from 35 feet into the airmail challenge hole. One bag wins 25% of the pot; two win 50%.
The same person can be both shooters if their ticket is drawn twice. If no one wins, the pot rolls over to the next week.
