Week 4 brought the best weather of the season so far. Upper 70s at tip-off, sliding into the low 70s as the sun went. Eighteen teams in the lot, boards in play by 7:20, and by the time the last round wrapped everyone had picked up a fresh set of bug bites. First buggy night of the year. Bring spray next week.
Four weeks in, three weeks left in the regular season. Playoffs hit in Weeks 8 and 9, championship in Week 10. The shape of this thing is starting to show. The top is tight, the middle is restless, and a few teams are trending in directions nobody saw coming three weeks ago.
Who we missed
Five teams out tonight. Mother Shuckers and Hole Patrol are still waiting on their shirts, which are on the way. Hole Patrol said they’d be out tonight anyway, but we’ve been around long enough to know the play is to wait for boots on the ground before we get excited. We also missed The Tossin’ Turtles, We thought the sign said Corndogs, and Shuck Your Cornhole. All five pick up 0-4 records for the week.
Missed the piggies tonight too. Shuck Your Cornhole’s three dogs usually work the sideline and the lot’s not the same without them.
Top 3 Teams of the Week
- Fairways (4-0, 97 points, +80). Ray and Gary put up the most raw points of anyone this week, including a 21-0 shutout of Barnyard Baggers and a 23-0 over Nuthin Butt Holes.
- Splash Bros. (4-0, 95 points, +86). Dutty and Charles opened the night with a 25-1 over Born Fish, closed it with a 23-2 over Lucky Sacks. 16-0 on the year and the only team still undefeated.
- BagStreet Boys (4-0, 94 points, +73). Brian and the Boys had the upset of the night and the biggest overall-standings move. They jumped two spots to number two.
Air Mail also went 4-0 with 93 points. One point off the podium. Rough way to miss the Top 3.
Week 4 match summaries
Of 36 total games, 26 ended with margins of 15 points or more. That’s 72% blowouts. Only three games finished within five points, and the closest one came down to a single bag.
Splash Bros. opened the night with a statement. Dutty and Charles took Born Fish apart 25-1 in Round 1, then 21-0 over Ginger ash tornado, 26-6 over Department of Bagriculture, and 23-2 over Lucky Sacks to close. 16-0 on the season and the only team in the league that’s shown up every week and won every game. Nobody else is within three losses.
BagStreet Boys had the night’s signature game. DEEZ NUTS came in at 11-1, sitting comfortably at number two overall, tied with These Effin’ Guys on wins. Then Round 3 happened. Brian put up 23 on Brandon’s 2. That’s not a close game, that’s a message. BagStreet Boys also handled Natural Corn Killers 23-0, Lucky Sacks 27-7, and Born Fish 21-12 to finish 4-0. They jumped two spots in the cumulative standings and are now number two on the year.
Air Mail quietly went 4-0 for the first time this spring. Ryan put 24-0 on Nuthin Butt Holes, then edged Ginger ash tornado 23-18 in one of only three close games of the entire night. Air Mail jumps two spots to number seven overall.
Your Hole is My Goal delivered the biggest blowout of the week. Mark put 29 on Back to Black‘s 1 in Round 3. Then closed the night with a 25-10 win over These Effin’ Guys. 3-1 on the night, only dropped their opener to Air Mail.
These Effin’ Guys put up another 3-1. Bill and Mike opened 21-3 over Corndoggs, then 26-2 over Department of Bagriculture, then 22-1 over Baggin Dragons before running into Your Hole is My Goal in Round 4. That’s three straight 3-1 weeks for them. Consistency is its own kind of dangerous.
DEEZ NUTS went 3-1 with the one loss being the BagStreet blowout. Brandon still put up 21-6 on Lucky Sacks, 22-2 on Natural Corn Killers, and 22-8 on Baggin Dragons. They dropped one spot to number three overall but they’re still 14-2. Tied with BagStreet Boys on wins and total points. Differential broke the tie.
Born Fish went 2-2 on the night. Chas and Mary dropped the opener to Splash Bros. 1-25, bounced back with 24-7 over Nuthin Butt Holes and 21-5 over Ginger ash tornado, then ran into BagStreet in Round 4 and dropped it 12-21. They’d won all 8 games they’d played through Weeks 1 and 3, but that Week 2 absence had them sitting at 8-4 in the standings before tonight. Now 10-6 overall, sliding one spot to number 8.
Barnyard Baggers split the night 2-2. Krista opened 21-3 over Corndoggs, ate the Fairways shutout in Round 2, dropped one to Natural Corn Killers 7-22, and closed strong with 25-14 over Back to Black. They jumped three spots in the cumulative standings, the biggest climb of the week.
Baggin Dragons had a night that was about more than the scoreboard. More on that below. On the board, Jess and Kristen got their W in Round 1 with 23-13 over Corny Bastards, then dropped the next three.
Three teams grabbed their only win of the night in a single round. Back to Black took Department of Bagriculture 21-17 in Round 1, the only four-point game of the week, before losing the next three. Corny Bastards came back from a week off and got one: 21-5 over Back to Black in Round 2. Natural Corn Killers beat Barnyard Baggers 22-7, then lost the 21-20 heartbreaker to Corndoggs in Round 4. That was the closest game of the night.
That 21-20 win gave Corndoggs only their second W of the season. Caitlyn has been through it this spring. Gotta enjoy the W’s when they come.
Department of Bagriculture picked up their single win 23-4 over Nuthin Butt Holes in Round 3. Trevor bookended it with three losses.
Lucky Sacks had the hardest night of anyone in the top half. Justin dropped three in a row before grabbing one 22-9 over Corndoggs in Round 3, then closed the night 2-23 against Splash Bros. They fell from number six to number nine in the overall standings, the biggest drop of the week.
Ginger ash tornado and Nuthin Butt Holes both went 0-4. Ginger ash was the harder one to watch: they came in 6-6 and left 6-10, outscored 30 to 92, three shutouts taken. Paul did get Round 4 within five points against Air Mail before falling 18-23. Nuthin Butt Holes has had a rough spring, but Meta put up 7 against Born Fish and 4 against Department of Bagriculture, which beats a lot of their earlier nights.
Special guests in the lot
Jess brought her husband Ryan and their baby boy Jose out tonight. Jose’s first cornhole night, and if we’re being honest, probably the cutest person in the parking lot on a Thursday. The Baggin Dragons sisters had family on the sideline all night, and Jess went 1-3 with the baby watching. That’s more than enough reason to take the loss column in stride.
We also had a handful of other guests come through to watch. If you’re one of them, or you’ve been on the fence, the Summer 2026 season kicks off Thursday, June 11. Registration is open now. Team of two is $140. Solo sign-up is $70 and we’ll match you with a partner. This league has people who play all the time and people who play occasionally with family and a few too many cocktails. Everyone fits. Come out.
Freddy J’s
Dollar wings and two dollar Yuenglings every Thursday at Freddy J’s Bar and Kitchen. Buckets of High Noon, Stateside, and Surfside too, plus beer buckets if that’s more your speed. The kitchen opens before the games start and stays open through the night. Late-night happy hour kicks in after the last bags get thrown, usually around 9. Half the league ends up at the bar talking about standings anyway, so pull up a seat.
Biggest thank you to everyone who eats before, eats after, and drinks the whole time. That’s what keeps Thursday nights on the schedule.

Where we are at the midpoint
Four teams are separated by one loss at the top. Splash Bros. at 16-0. BagStreet Boys and DEEZ NUTS both at 14-2. These Effin’ Guys at 13-3. Eight teams are sitting on winning records. Everybody else still has something to play for, because every team advances to the playoff brackets in Weeks 8 and 9. Where you finish the regular season sets the bracket. Nobody gets eliminated before Week 8.
Quick format refresher. Weeks 5, 6, and 7 close out the regular season. Weeks 8 and 9 are tiered playoff brackets seeded by regular-season finish. Week 10 is the championship and goes double elimination. Three Thursdays left to set where you land.
Looking ahead
Week 5 is Thursday, April 23 at 7 PM. Splash Bros. and BagStreet Boys both sit at the top with zero and two losses. Somebody has to take Splash Bros. down eventually. Whether it happens next Thursday or waits until the playoffs is up to whoever ends up on the board across from them.
Team to watch: Fairways. Ray and Gary have climbed the cumulative standings in each of the last two weeks and just posted the most points in the league in Week 4. Another 4-0 puts them in the top three for the first time all spring. Bring bug spray.
